The “Other Face of Human Rights” Research Group at the University of Isfahan

The “Other Face of Human Rights” (OFOHR) Research Group, based within the Vice Presidency for Research and Technology at the University of Isfahan, was created to engage in scholarly research related to human rights.

The “Other Face of Human Rights” (OFOHR) Research Group, based within the Vice Presidency for Research and Technology at the University of Isfahan, was created to engage in scholarly research related to human rights. This initiative was launched to address the urgent need for academic studies that accurately depict Islamic perspectives and the legal realities of Iranian society in an international context.

The group aims to connect academic research with current domestic and global issues by conducting studies on various human rights topics. These topics include evaluating the integration of human rights principles in Islamic doctrine, scrutinizing the influence of international organizations on human rights practices, documenting global human rights violations, and encouraging collaborations among different institutions, among other research projects.

Additionally, the OFOHR Research Group at the University of Isfahan strives to build a network of scholars and researchers focused on human rights, encouraging the active involvement of faculty, students, and practitioners from both within Iran and abroad. This goal is pursued through hosting conferences, lectures, and academic seminars, as well as producing and translating books and articles, launching academic journals, and supporting practical theses and dissertations.

The overarching aim of these academic and research activities is to make a meaningful contribution to the global movement for human rights, helping to create a world where individuals can live free from discrimination and injustice, and where justice and fairness prevail.
