University of Isfahan and ITS Forge New Scientific Partnership

In a significant stride towards enhancing international scientific collaboration, Dr. Mohammad Amiryousefi, President Consultant in International Affairs and Director of International Scientific Cooperation Office at the University of Isfahan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) during the HEPCON 2024 conference.

In a significant stride towards enhancing international scientific collaboration, Dr. Mohammad Amiryousefi, President Consultant in International Affairs and Director of International Scientific Cooperation Office at the University of Isfahan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology (ITS) during the HEPCON 2024 conference. This MoU marks a pivotal moment in fostering academic and research exchanges between Iran and Indonesia, aiming to leverage the strengths of both institutions in scientific, engineering, and vocational education.

Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, located in Surabaya, East Java, has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1957. Initially founded as a technical college, ITS has grown into one of Indonesia’s premier public research universities, renowned for its contributions to scientific and technological advancements. The university’s commitment to innovation is reflected in its numerous research projects and collaborations, making it a hub for aspiring engineers and scientists in the region1.

The partnership between the University of Isfahan and ITS is set against a backdrop of longstanding scientific cooperation between Iran and Indonesia. Since the signing of an initial MoU, the two countries have engaged in various collaborative efforts, including the formation of a Joint Science and Technology Committee. These initiatives have paved the way for numerous joint research projects and academic exchanges, strengthening the scientific ties between the two nations.

This new MoU is expected to further enhance these collaborative efforts, providing a platform for joint research, faculty and student exchanges, and the development of innovative solutions to global challenges.
