The second place of University of Isfahan in the 15th Cultural and Sports Olympiad of female students of Iran

The 15th cultural and sports Olympiad for female students of Iran was hosted by the University of Tabriz. The competitions included Futsal, Volleyball, Basketball, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Badminton and Shooting in the girls' division, and University of Isfahan, with a distinguished performance of the girls' sports teams, achieved the second-place title of this tournament.
This course of competitions was held in eight days, and table tennis, taekwondo, badminton, and shooting were held from July 9 to 11. Swimming, Karate, and Running race were held on July 14 and 15. The girls' ranking and final competitions were held on July 15.
This year, the female athletes of University of Isfahan won the first place in Basketball, Shooting, and Taekwondo (Poomsae) competitions.

Prof. Hossein Harsij, the president of University of Isfahan, addressed the second place of Isfahan University in the 15th Sports Olympiad in the girls' division as a sign of the high capacities of the students in various scientific, cultural, and sports fields. He congratulated players, technical staff, employees, the directors of the physical education department, and all the students and faculties of the University of Isfahan. Prof. Harsij considered this achievement a prelude to superior victories and a powerful presence in sports fields.

While congratulating the girls' shooting team, Dr. Kargar Fard, the head of the Department of Physical Education and the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences of University of Isfahan, stated: "Investing in student sports is not a cost, but spending in this field leads to great achievements for the future of the country".
